Overview: The U.S. Green Building Council’s Central Texas – Balcones Chapter will host Jerry Yudelson, one of the country’s leading green building authorities, for a lecture entitled “Looking to Europe for a greener tomorrow - Accelerating Central Texas green building by looking to our European colleagues for inspiration.”

About the Speaker: Jerry Yudelson, one of the most published authors on green building and sustainability, will discuss how Central Texas designers, contractors, engineers, planners and other industry professionals can accelerate the adoption of green building by looking to their European colleagues for inspiration.  For the past two years he has been studying how European green building approaches can be used in the United States.

Yudelson is currently serving as Chair for the Steering Committee for Greenbuild 2009, the largest green building conference in the U.S.  He has served on the national board of the USGBC and was a Founding Board Member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.  He has trained nearly 3,500 industry professionals in the LEED rating system and is currently promoting his newest book Green Building Trends: Europe, which profiles a number of important developments in green building practice and sustainable development over the past 10 years.  For more information, visit .http://www.greenbuildconsult.com/
